    Hello!👋😐

    I know, don't say it, I just didn't get the time to get to the blog yesterday. Not that it was ever going to be very interesting.

    I was going to tell you that on Wednesday I saw a Chiff Chaff, or possibly Willow Warbler, on one the bird dishes we have on the patio.🐦 Sadly, instead of a camera I had a mug of tea🫖 in each hand, and it was gone almost as soon as I saw it.

    I was also going to tell you that later that day we had a small flock of Long Tailed Tits🐦 flitting around the garden, but again, no camera. This type of thing often happens here. You see something worth snapping and don't have a camera to hand, or it simply doesn't hang around long enough to get a picture of it. And most things do have a tendency to move when you don't want them too, which is equally frustrating!

    Yesterday itself was not very interesting either. But I did have Danish Butter Cookies with my morning🍵cuppa, which I did enjoy immensely! Oh, and we had an impromptu film night because Emmerdale was cancelled in favour of football.😕 We watched "65" which is a very good sci-fi film starring Adam Driver.

And that's it really, I'm not sure Thursdays are ever exciting.

     Hello, hello!👋😀      Well yes, it has been a while, but I am going to try this blogging lark again! I don't know what happened earlier in the year. I think I just realised that blogging was a time consuming activity that I really didn't have time for. Has anything changed now? No, but I'm going to try and be more relaxed about it all and not be so wordy. I do tend to go on a bit!🙄      So when better to start than Blogtober ?😲 Yes, I am a little nuts but, hey-ho someone's got to be!      I've got a few things to show you from earlier in the year and a few things on the hook to share and even possibly complete before the end of the month.     Hello!👋😀      It's day three of Blogtober 2025 and I'm back! I'm as surprised as you are!      So here's the next project I worked on back in the early part of the year - a Sideways Tunisian Crochet Bobble Hat ! Yes, it is quite big. But at least it's warm!     I'd had this idea in my head for quite a while but didn't have the nerve to try it until January.     I first made a Sideways Bobble Hat when I was a knitter, from a well explained free pattern, worked in Garter Stitch , from WoolyWormhead . I only ever made two - a big one and a small one, but since becoming a Crocheter - and especially after learning Tunisian Crochet - I have often wondered if I could make a crocheted version, using the knitting pattern as a guide.     And as it turns out, I could!😀 And it's not too shabby either!     The main yarn is King Cole Big Value Chunky in the colour Bluegrass . Blogtober 2025 : Post 2

     Hello!👋😀      The early part of the year turned out to be quite productive really, by my usual standards anyway!      The first thing I made was Super Chunky Scarf for my Father. I wasn't sure if he was going to wear it because to be honest, I thought I'd made it too big. And I'm not going to say it's my best work because it isn't, but as I'm not used to working with this weight of yarn I think I've done as well as I could have.     I started it on the 3rd of January and finished it on the 18th of January, working on it in the evening for no more than 2 hours, and mostly just one, so it's possibly one of my quickest makes ever!     I've used a 12mm Bamboo hook and a "new to me" stitch - the Camel Stitch .
