Blogtober 2025 : Post 8

    Hello!πŸ‘‹πŸ˜€

I admit yesterday's post was a bit naff but it does count so I'm not going to berate myself too much about it.

This is the last of the projects I completed in the first half of the year. It's small and simple, but it does have a function and it was appreciated by the recipient which, of course, made it a worthwhile make.

I really wanted to make my Mother something for her Birthday but had no idea what. But she did mention a few times that she was forever picking up the wrong glasses case because, for some daft reason, they're all the same colour. And slowly, an idea came to mind!πŸ€”πŸ€―πŸ˜ƒ

Now, the first thought was a simple sock-like case for the solid case to fit into, but it didn't seem like a good idea. And then it came to me - a napkin ring!

Ta-Dah!

I was already making the Pansy just to see what the pattern was like to follow, and what the Crochet Cottons I got from Lidl were like. My Mother likes Pansies so that was an easy choice for the decoration, and I know she likes green, so that was the second choice made!

I worked this in another type of cotton I'd been given and decided to use the Tunisian Treble Stitch (UK Terms) for the actual ring.

I added the Ladybird as an extra bit of decoration. And I was well pleased with the result!πŸ˜€ And so was Mother.

I'm sorry for the lateness of this post but I couldn't log on earlier so I'm doing it now with 35mins to go!!
