    Hello!👋😀

    Happy Sunday to you. Hopefully you're having a pleasantly slow day with not too much "bother" interfering with things!

    The weather has been bloody awful over the last couple of days here in the UK, with some places getting far worse than others, so I hope you are all safe and well, warm and dry.

    We were fairly lucky here and I was actually surprised to wake up yesterday to sunny skies☀️! Today has been similar with a sunny morning and a cloudier afternoon. It get a bit windy in the night though and I could hear branches rattling the roof tiles! I woke up dry so the roof is still there!

    I tend to do most of my crochet in the evenings while the telly is on, but yesterday I didn't even get it out the bag. Why? We watched a most excellent film that's why!! "Final Destination: Bloodlines"! It's the latest film in the Final Destination💀 franchise - which I have long been a fan of - and it IS AWESOME!! Now, I am not necessarily the most easily shocked person, and I don't mind a bit of the gruesome and gore occasionally, but I was not expecting what we saw here.😲 The inventiveness of the death scenes was amazing, as were the graphics, and I almost did not want to pause it to make the 2nd pot of tea! It was that good!😁 If you haven't seen it yet and it sounds like your cup of tea, I definitely recommend watching it!

    Tonight we'll be watching a two episode story from "The Doctor Blake Mysteries". We like a murder mystery of a Sunday evening and for the last few weeks have been enjoying the 11th series of "The Brokenwood Mysteries". If you are unfamiliar with it, it is set in New Zealand and is also AWESOME!!

    South Wales was pretty windy all day with just a few showers 🥰
    My evening was sockknitting…I have quite a few to make for Christmas…we have very different tastes in films-I couldn't have watched the FD film 😳

     Hello, hello!👋😀      Well yes, it has been a while, but I am going to try this blogging lark again! I don't know what happened earlier in the year. I think I just realised that blogging was a time consuming activity that I really didn't have time for. Has anything changed now? No, but I'm going to try and be more relaxed about it all and not be so wordy. I do tend to go on a bit!🙄      So when better to start than Blogtober ?😲 Yes, I am a little nuts but, hey-ho someone's got to be!      I've got a few things to show you from earlier in the year and a few things on the hook to share and even possibly complete before the end of the month.     Hello!👋😀      It's day three of Blogtober 2025 and I'm back! I'm as surprised as you are!      So here's the next project I worked on back in the early part of the year - a Sideways Tunisian Crochet Bobble Hat ! Yes, it is quite big. But at least it's warm!     I'd had this idea in my head for quite a while but didn't have the nerve to try it until January.     I first made a Sideways Bobble Hat when I was a knitter, from a well explained free pattern, worked in Garter Stitch , from WoolyWormhead . I only ever made two - a big one and a small one, but since becoming a Crocheter - and especially after learning Tunisian Crochet - I have often wondered if I could make a crocheted version, using the knitting pattern as a guide.     And as it turns out, I could!😀 And it's not too shabby either!     The main yarn is King Cole Big Value Chunky in the colour Bluegrass .      Hello!👋😀      The early part of the year turned out to be quite productive really, by my usual standards anyway!      The first thing I made was Super Chunky Scarf for my Father. I wasn't sure if he was going to wear it because to be honest, I thought I'd made it too big. And I'm not going to say it's my best work because it isn't, but as I'm not used to working with this weight of yarn I think I've done as well as I could have.     I started it on the 3rd of January and finished it on the 18th of January, working on it in the evening for no more than 2 hours, and mostly just one, so it's possibly one of my quickest makes ever!     I've used a 12mm Bamboo hook and a "new to me" stitch - the Camel Stitch .
