    Hello👋😀

    Today started so weirdly. I somehow made it to the kitchen for breakfast to find that the light was wrong. I looked out the window at the grey and cloudy sky and noticed that the light was actually coming from the wrong direction! So, instead of the light coming from behind me or to my left, it was in-front and to the right! It really was quite eerie looking.

    Coupled with that was the almost complete lack of traffic. The road is usually quite busy in both directions at that time of day, but this morning it was as if no-one was bothering to go anywhere. And that carried on more much of the day. Most odd!😕

    The cloud cover lasted all day and we did get some rain, but by 7pm when my Father and I were putting the bins out, the sky was mostly clear, with lots of stars and a bright bit of moon! A chilly night me thinks!?

    We watched an old Audie Murphy western🤠 in the evening - "Drums Across The River". It also had Jay Silverheels in it and it was in colour! Which the even older John Wayne film we watched the other week wasn't. I think that was made before he learned to act!

    Only a couple of days left to go of this years Blogtober. I was hoping to have more to tell you about in this last week but unfortunately it ain't happening. No doubt I'll find something to mention.🤔

     Hello, hello!👋😀      Well yes, it has been a while, but I am going to try this blogging lark again! I don't know what happened earlier in the year. I think I just realised that blogging was a time consuming activity that I really didn't have time for. Has anything changed now? No, but I'm going to try and be more relaxed about it all and not be so wordy. I do tend to go on a bit!🙄      So when better to start than Blogtober ?😲 Yes, I am a little nuts but, hey-ho someone's got to be!      I've got a few things to show you from earlier in the year and a few things on the hook to share and even possibly complete before the end of the month.     Hello!👋😀      It's day three of Blogtober 2025 and I'm back! I'm as surprised as you are!      So here's the next project I worked on back in the early part of the year - a Sideways Tunisian Crochet Bobble Hat ! Yes, it is quite big. But at least it's warm!     I'd had this idea in my head for quite a while but didn't have the nerve to try it until January.     I first made a Sideways Bobble Hat when I was a knitter, from a well explained free pattern, worked in Garter Stitch , from WoolyWormhead . I only ever made two - a big one and a small one, but since becoming a Crocheter - and especially after learning Tunisian Crochet - I have often wondered if I could make a crocheted version, using the knitting pattern as a guide.     And as it turns out, I could!😀 And it's not too shabby either!     The main yarn is King Cole Big Value Chunky in the colour Bluegrass . Blogtober 2025 : Post 2

     Hello!👋😀      The early part of the year turned out to be quite productive really, by my usual standards anyway!      The first thing I made was Super Chunky Scarf for my Father. I wasn't sure if he was going to wear it because to be honest, I thought I'd made it too big. And I'm not going to say it's my best work because it isn't, but as I'm not used to working with this weight of yarn I think I've done as well as I could have.     I started it on the 3rd of January and finished it on the 18th of January, working on it in the evening for no more than 2 hours, and mostly just one, so it's possibly one of my quickest makes ever!     I've used a 12mm Bamboo hook and a "new to me" stitch - the Camel Stitch .
