    Hello👋😀

    How's your Saturday been? Mine's been generally naff and a bit chilly, but there has been a fair amount of sunshine🌞 which has at least made the day brighter.

    We watched another episode of "Morning Before Evensong" at lunchtime. At the moment I'm not really sure what's going on, there are obviously secrets that will no doubt come out before the end but how they all tie together is not yet clear.🤔

    Saturdays are usually Chinese Take-Away day for us but unfortunately our regular place is closed as the owners have gone on holiday.😞 And not just for a week either. Oh well, we won't starve. For example, today my Father made a very tasty Pasta Bake for dinner.😋 We serve it in bowls so it stays warmer longer, with a slice of toast on the side, and there's always enough for seconds! Yummers!

    Our film this evening was another excellent choice - "Cowboys And Aliens" starring Daniel Craig, Harrison Ford and Olivia Wilde. I love the blending of the two genres here, it makes for a very original story, and it keeps you watching!

    I'm going to try and go to bed earlier tonight, the extra hour we get doesn't generally mean anything to me but I have been a lot later than usual recently, so it's a good opportunity to catch up on some much needed 💤💤💤.

     Hello, hello!👋😀      Well yes, it has been a while, but I am going to try this blogging lark again! I don't know what happened earlier in the year. I think I just realised that blogging was a time consuming activity that I really didn't have time for. Has anything changed now? No, but I'm going to try and be more relaxed about it all and not be so wordy. I do tend to go on a bit!🙄      So when better to start than Blogtober ?😲 Yes, I am a little nuts but, hey-ho someone's got to be!      I've got a few things to show you from earlier in the year and a few things on the hook to share and even possibly complete before the end of the month.     Hello!👋😀      It's day three of Blogtober 2025 and I'm back! I'm as surprised as you are!      So here's the next project I worked on back in the early part of the year - a Sideways Tunisian Crochet Bobble Hat ! Yes, it is quite big. But at least it's warm!     I'd had this idea in my head for quite a while but didn't have the nerve to try it until January.     I first made a Sideways Bobble Hat when I was a knitter, from a well explained free pattern, worked in Garter Stitch , from WoolyWormhead . I only ever made two - a big one and a small one, but since becoming a Crocheter - and especially after learning Tunisian Crochet - I have often wondered if I could make a crocheted version, using the knitting pattern as a guide.     And as it turns out, I could!😀 And it's not too shabby either!     The main yarn is King Cole Big Value Chunky in the colour Bluegrass .      Hello!👋😀      The early part of the year turned out to be quite productive really, by my usual standards anyway!      The first thing I made was Super Chunky Scarf for my Father. I wasn't sure if he was going to wear it because to be honest, I thought I'd made it too big. And I'm not going to say it's my best work because it isn't, but as I'm not used to working with this weight of yarn I think I've done as well as I could have.     I started it on the 3rd of January and finished it on the 18th of January, working on it in the evening for no more than 2 hours, and mostly just one, so it's possibly one of my quickest makes ever!     I've used a 12mm Bamboo hook and a "new to me" stitch - the Camel Stitch .
