    Hello👋😀

    Another short and quick post from me today.

    We had a BT/OpenReach engineer come today to connect us to this new fangled Digital Voice service which is replacing the old, and some would say much better and more reliable, analogue service.

    At first we weren't sure if he would be able to do what was needed because we live in an older property where there aren't as many plug sockets as newer ones may have. (And don't mention mobile phone signals - we don't have one!!) But thankfully in the end, it was all sorted.😌

    Later, we had a Chinese Take-Away for dinner.😋 I had Beef, Mushrooms and Onions with Egg Fried Rice.😋 It was very enjoyable as I hadn't had it for a while. I could eat rice every day!

    I haven't been able to finish the project that I wanted to finish for the weekend, but if I had it would have been rushed and probably would have looked like it too, and I've much rather it be good all over than a bit shonky!

    Oh well, that is all, see you tomorrow.

     Hello, hello!👋😀      Well yes, it has been a while, but I am going to try this blogging lark again! I don't know what happened earlier in the year. I think I just realised that blogging was a time consuming activity that I really didn't have time for. Has anything changed now? No, but I'm going to try and be more relaxed about it all and not be so wordy. I do tend to go on a bit!🙄      So when better to start than Blogtober ?😲 Yes, I am a little nuts but, hey-ho someone's got to be!      I've got a few things to show you from earlier in the year and a few things on the hook to share and even possibly complete before the end of the month.     Hello!👋😀      It's day three of Blogtober 2025 and I'm back! I'm as surprised as you are!      So here's the next project I worked on back in the early part of the year - a Sideways Tunisian Crochet Bobble Hat ! Yes, it is quite big. But at least it's warm!     I'd had this idea in my head for quite a while but didn't have the nerve to try it until January.     I first made a Sideways Bobble Hat when I was a knitter, from a well explained free pattern, worked in Garter Stitch , from WoolyWormhead . I only ever made two - a big one and a small one, but since becoming a Crocheter - and especially after learning Tunisian Crochet - I have often wondered if I could make a crocheted version, using the knitting pattern as a guide.     And as it turns out, I could!😀 And it's not too shabby either!     The main yarn is King Cole Big Value Chunky in the colour Bluegrass .      Hello!👋😀      The early part of the year turned out to be quite productive really, by my usual standards anyway!      The first thing I made was Super Chunky Scarf for my Father. I wasn't sure if he was going to wear it because to be honest, I thought I'd made it too big. And I'm not going to say it's my best work because it isn't, but as I'm not used to working with this weight of yarn I think I've done as well as I could have.     I started it on the 3rd of January and finished it on the 18th of January, working on it in the evening for no more than 2 hours, and mostly just one, so it's possibly one of my quickest makes ever!     I've used a 12mm Bamboo hook and a "new to me" stitch - the Camel Stitch .
