    Hello👋😃

    Well, today has been a lot better than yesterday! We even had a bit of sunshine, and not one sighting of the cat! Perhaps it has finally got the message that it's not welcome here?

    We had a very tasty dinner consisting of Salt & Pepper Pork Meatballs (from Lidl), Mash Potato, Peas, Carrots and a generous helping of Bisto Gravy made by yours truly! My secret is to add Black Pepper. And not just a little either!

    Do you still have Sunday dinner at lunchtime or have you ditched the tradition? We still do, in fact I don't think we've ever had it at dinnertime. It's part of what makes a Sunday a Sunday, don't you think?

    Later on we watched the last of the "Dr. Blake" box set which is actually a story that he isn't in. (The actor Craig McLachlan was in a bit of professional bother at the time I think). It is pretty good though and it's a shame that more weren't made. What'll we watch next week that's the question.

    It was also the day of hunt the single oven glove. It was lost. It was in my Father's jeans pocket. I'm saying nothing.

    And if I'm remembering correctly it is also Lucy's Birthday! So Happy Birthday Lucy, I hope you've had a fab day!🥳💐

     Hello, hello!👋😀      Well yes, it has been a while, but I am going to try this blogging lark again! I don't know what happened earlier in the year. I think I just realised that blogging was a time consuming activity that I really didn't have time for. Has anything changed now? No, but I'm going to try and be more relaxed about it all and not be so wordy. I do tend to go on a bit!🙄      So when better to start than Blogtober ?😲 Yes, I am a little nuts but, hey-ho someone's got to be!      I've got a few things to show you from earlier in the year and a few things on the hook to share and even possibly complete before the end of the month.     Hello!👋😀      It's day three of Blogtober 2025 and I'm back! I'm as surprised as you are!      So here's the next project I worked on back in the early part of the year - a Sideways Tunisian Crochet Bobble Hat ! Yes, it is quite big. But at least it's warm!     I'd had this idea in my head for quite a while but didn't have the nerve to try it until January.     I first made a Sideways Bobble Hat when I was a knitter, from a well explained free pattern, worked in Garter Stitch , from WoolyWormhead . I only ever made two - a big one and a small one, but since becoming a Crocheter - and especially after learning Tunisian Crochet - I have often wondered if I could make a crocheted version, using the knitting pattern as a guide.     And as it turns out, I could!😀 And it's not too shabby either!     The main yarn is King Cole Big Value Chunky in the colour Bluegrass .      Hello!👋😀      The early part of the year turned out to be quite productive really, by my usual standards anyway!      The first thing I made was Super Chunky Scarf for my Father. I wasn't sure if he was going to wear it because to be honest, I thought I'd made it too big. And I'm not going to say it's my best work because it isn't, but as I'm not used to working with this weight of yarn I think I've done as well as I could have.     I started it on the 3rd of January and finished it on the 18th of January, working on it in the evening for no more than 2 hours, and mostly just one, so it's possibly one of my quickest makes ever!     I've used a 12mm Bamboo hook and a "new to me" stitch - the Camel Stitch .
